D-A-D To Film 'You Won't Change' Video
January 22, 2009Danish rockers D-A-D will film a video for the song "You Won't Change" in Reykjavik, Iceland before the end of the month.
On Saturday, January 24, D-A-D will play a charity concert at NASA in Reykjavik, Iceland. According to a posting on the group's web site, "The band and crew will work for free and the profit from this concert will go to Icelanders, who are in trouble because of the economic crisis. The band has many fans in Iceland and they are moved by the situation many Icelanders are in. They decided to help and wanted to give a taste of the upcoming tour. This tour will bring D-A-D to the big concert halls in Denmark, Germany and Sweden during February to April."
The charity concert is presented by "Because We Care" and Iceland Express.
"Monster Philosophy", the 10th studio album from Danish rockers D-A-D, was released on vinyl on December 1, featuring a double gatefold cover with heavyweight vinyl. The LP was made available in all good vinyl shops in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway.
D-A-D recently inked a deal with 3R Entertainment for the release of "Monster Philosophy", in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Released on November 21, the 3R version of the CD contains one exclusive bonus track, "House Of Fun".
"Monster Philosophy" was produced by Jon "Joshua" Schumann, who has previously worked with MEW, KENT, KASHMIR and CARPARK NORTH, among others. The basic tracks were laid down in April in Long Branch, New Jersey and work continued at Mansion Studiet in Copenhagen, Denmark.
"True Believer", the documentary about D-A-D filmed and directed over a 25-year-period by Torleif Hoppe — the band's so-called fifth member — was released on DVD on November 25. The film, which opened in Danish theaters on October 10, contains English subtitles.
